Today I was supposed to meet up with my NLC friends. Unfortunately only two managed to turn up, KS and Adriana. Met KS for Gelare's waffles before heading to Hog's Breath. (Their steaks are really tender and nice. Was told that the steaks were in the oven for 18 hours. Hmmm ... that must be their secret recipe.) It was nice to meet up with him again. The last time i saw him was during NLC's Branch Education Conference. Must say he looks better in formal wear ... haha. Don't know why I was so excited at meeting him that I got all dressed up and forgot about Adri's hard drive. But as the dinner went on, I came to realise I don't need to get an answer from him to end my phase on him .... because I don't feel anything more than just friends like 5 minutes after i talked to him. So I just enjoyed my time with him, chatting about politics, our associations, a bit of ourselves.
Next, we caught up with Adri. She is my convener or boss when I was with NLC. Although she said most people would hate her at the end of working with her, I enjoyed working with her because her working ethics makes things get done. She would take the troubles to complete what her committee did not finish. That is something I would do too if i was in her position. Frankly knowing that she is almost putting her studies aside to do NLC's work makes me wish that I would be still with NLC to lend a hand. Oh well ... I can only wish her luck and hope she would have a nice break after the state multicultural week. Of all the committee members, i really clicked really well with her. Maybe that is why I enjoyed working with her. After i told her about my job, she mentioned that she felt that as we moved from a city life to a slower pace of life, our brains seem to work slower. That's something Kim said b4 about moving from Melbourne to Perth. Well, since Tanjung Sepat is really kampung, I have to make sure my brain don't idle and slow down. That's why I want to learn French
